We are delighted to invite you to the official launch event at our new premises on Station Street on Sunday 14th June.

All of our talented artists will be there to showcase our new gallery, and we look forward to sharing this exciting milestone with you.

There will be drinks, a warm welcome, and plenty of beautiful artwork to enjoy. We are all very excited to celebrate with you and hope to see you there.

Midsummer Show

Our Midsummer show opens 3rd June. Visit the gallery and explore new works from all 16 of our artists & 3 guest artists.

3D Artist Call Out

We are currently looking for 3D artist members and 3D guest artists to exhibit at the Chalk. All 2D spaces are full.

Eva Wibberley - New Member

We are excited to welcome Eva Wibberley back the gallery. Eva is a Brighton based painter working in oils and mixed media, inspired by the coastal landscapes of Sussex and Cornwall.

Hella Keevil - Guest Artist

Hella Keevil is a Kent-based ceramic artist who creates hand-built ceramics inspired by walking, travel, and a lifelong fascination with texture, colour and form.

Clare Buckle - Guest Artist

Clare Buckle is a Sussex-based artist from the north east of England, engaged with landscape subjects such as industrial structures, monumental buildings, suburban streets and the relationship between built and natural worlds.

Jo Burton - Guest Artist

Jo captures not only what she sees and feels in her art. She says "my happy place is truly in front of my easel; transposing emotion and beauty of our surroundings into an impression of feeling on canvas".

June 2026 Newsletter

Summer is well and truly upon us and our new home in Station Street, Lewes has got off to a flying start. We have a brand new show of the gallery artists' work opening on 2nd June. We have three guest artists Hella Keevil a ceramicist, Clare Buckle a printmaker and Jo Burton a painter. We are also thrilled to welcome back landscape painter Eva Wibberley as a Chalk member. Please join us at our launch party on Sunday 14th June from 3pm to 6pm.
