Ceramic and Prints

 

It has taken a while for me to find the thing I love doing which is working at my kitchen table making hand-built ceramics whilst looking out at the garden birds, squirrels, foxes and sunlight through the trees.

With my elderly cat, Ronnie, yowling at me for food indoors. 

Since understanding how we, the biology of our bodies, and life on earth has evolved I’m always amazed that we are here at all. Maybe for not much longer is constantly hovering in the background, and more often foreground, of my mind. 

I celebrate life on earth. At least life in my garden and house!

 

Thoughts cross my mind like clouds and then I experiment. I must keep ideas flowing and, as I build up from the bottom, they are revealed as themselves - good or not. I enjoy the process of constructing, then painting, carving pieces and adding liquid gold.

 

My prints are stories of my life, the lives of others and our dreams, the real and imaginary world beyond, full of symbolism, mystery and memory.
