I am a landscape artist working mainly in acrylics with a particular interest in urban landscapes and the built environment. As an architect I have had a lifetime interest in buildings and I am particularly interested in minimalist, graphic images of buildings and landscapes.
Since moving to Brighton several years ago I have also been inspired by the beautiful landscapes of the South Downs and the coastal areas.
I particularly admire the works of artists John and Paul Nash, Anthony Caro, David Hockney, the American artist Charles Sheeler and Maurice Wade an artist from the Midlands who painted minimalist images of canals and their surroundings.
