Jayne Luscombe - Guest Artist
Jayne creates unique, one-of-a-kind pieces from silver, enamel, gemstones, and gold. With over 15 years of experience, her work has a contemporary take on traditional techniques, combining clean lines with striking textures and vivid colour combinations. Her inspiration is drawn from the vibrant colour palettes found in nature, such as the blues and golds of sun-drenched beaches.
She likes to explore how natural contrasts create a heightened sense of energy and emotion, such as the interplay between the hard texture of pebble beaches and the gentle waters of a calm sea, or the light of a sunbeam bursting through a dark woodland.
Using colour and texture combinations, each of her pieces is designed to subtly evoke memories such as those of being in nature, a glorious summer holiday, or the sun setting over a distant horizon. She is also interested in how different finishes can transform the visual and tactile qualities of jewellery, creating pieces that are not only visually stunning but also rich in sensory experience.
