David studied Fine Art, Printmaking, Photography and Graphic Design at Derby College of Art, gaining a BA in Fine Art and a National Diploma in Graphic Design.

He has worked as a Graphic Designer, Art Director, Freelance Illustrator and Art Therapist in London and Brighton.

He has taught Art, Photography, and Design Technology in adult and secondary education.

​

He is a published author of text books for Design Education with Blackwell’s Publishers.

He is also a keen photographer who has travelled to many parts of the world, including one year spent in Australia on a teaching exchange.

​

David uses acrylics, oil, watercolour and mixed media techniques, and is inspired by exotic landscapes and atmospheric light. 

 

David has artwork in the UK Government Art Collection and the Australian Embassy.

He has exhibited in his Open House in the Fiveways Artists Group for over 10 years.
