I am an artist who came to Fine Art Printmaking relatively recently but since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed working through the many different techniques available, including both Intaglio and Relief processes.

Printmaking offers endless possibilities: different techniques can be combined to create dramatic effects but singly, each process offers subtly distinct results. Unlike a painted canvas, in printmaking, the image on the finished plate, be it card, plastic, metal or wood is only finally revealed once the print is transferred to paper.

I moved to Sussex from Yorkshire seven years ago and have spent a lot of that time walking in the beautiful South Downs National Park. Inspired by the rolling landscape, my work here uses a reduction Lino approach to capture its changing colour and light, particularly in the early morning and evening but equally importantly, I wanted to share the wonderful sense of perspective and long, distant views that most viewpoints offer the onlooker.
