After completing a degree in Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art, London, I specialised in painting and printmaking at the Royal Academy Schools where I graduated with a PGDipRAS.
Prizes include the Richard Ford Travel award and the Edna Weiss prize for figurative painting. I have had work included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and currently have work displayed at the Royal Society of British Artists annual show at the Mall Galleries.
I mostly work in oil paint, inspired by the world around me. I tend to concentrate on layering colour and glazes to create light and atmosphere but also scrape and sand back layers to reveal what is beneath. Drawing is also important to me and lies at the heart of all my work.
