I am drawn to lino printing because of my passion for simplicity of form and line. The process of carving an image into the plate, enjoying the sweep and curve of each line’s journey, is very meditative and absorbing.
After completing a BA in Fine Art at Oxford, and an MA at Chelsea College of Art, I moved to Sussex where my relationship with nature has been reawakened. I am regularly stopped in my tracks by the sunlight falling on a roadside thistle or cow parsley.
Images of natural forms responding to the changing seasons recur throughout my prints, and remind me that even a simple seed head can tell a story.
