As a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art, drawing forms the basis of my art, and always has.
I love to experiment with other media, but watercolour painting is where I am happiest adding colour, by laying clear washes and watching them mix on my paper.
Living within the South Downs National Park near Lewes, I regularly walk and sketch the Sussex landscape. I also have a fascination with local history, archaeology and the progression of time on the landscape and buildings, imagining the stories that trees or walls could tell.
I am regularly commissioned for family and house portraits, and for greetings card illustrations. Clients have included Westminster Abbey, Canterbury Cathedral, The RAF, Taylors Port, Leeds Castle and Lewes Cathedral – Harvey’s Brewery.
