I am a ceramic artist based near the South Downs in Sussex, working primarily in stoneware. Drawing on my background in graphic design and two decades of teaching art.

I create wheel-thrown vessels that reflect a deep connection to nature—especially the movement and presence of birds in the landscape around me.

Using muted glazes and stencilled silhouettes that reveal the raw clay beneath, my pieces balance simplicity with quiet detail.

 

Through clean lines, natural tones, and a sense of stillness. 

I aim to create pieces that evoke a sense of calm and simplicity—clean lines, a restrained colour palette, and quiet references to the natural world. The story in my work comes not from narrative, but from nature itself.

 

I have exhibited throughout Sussex, including Brighton Artists Open Houses, Artwave, and group shows at venues like The Crypt.
