Veronica van Eijk was born in the Netherlands near The Hague. She is now very happily established in East Sussex where she has her studio overlooking the Pevensey Levels. Veronica is a painter and a sculptor and will complete her Fine Art degree this June. She has always had a passion for the creative possibilities of water colour painting. Living next to an organic dairy farm and seeing the herd every day has inspired her to try to capture the cows’ characters and their relationships with each other. She is fascinated by the animals’ body language and how this can be translated into a satisfying artistic composition.
