Glenis Boote
Designer maker of contemporary jewellery in silver, incorporating gold and semi precious beads.
My inspiration comes from a number of sources, such as plants, flowers and natural forms. I am also influenced by William Morris and the Arts & Crafts movement.
I try to combine these influences with an exploration of the metal itself, exploring possibilities in terms of pattern and texture. Most recently, a study of anti-clastic raising techniques is inspiring me to take form and function in new directions, while still echoing those shapes found in nature.
Commissions are welcomed.
